Vicente Saavedra is a young Puerto Rican entrepreneur who is known in the Latin urban music industry for his work with some of the best artists of this musical genre, and as the non-traditional artist manager responsible for launching the career of one of today’s top Latin music artists, Ozuna.
At age 16, his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for music moved him to seek opportunities within this industry. During his professional career he worked with successful Latin Urban
independent record labels such as White Lion Records and Buddha’s Family; with popular Latin music urban artists, such as Cosculluela, Farruko, Alexis & Fido and De La Ghetto; and various projects with SBS Entertainment.
In search of new challenges, in 2015 Saavedra committed himself to the development of a new talent, the young singer/songwriter Jan Carlos Ozuna. He founded independent record label Dimelo Vi and invested all his resources and efforts in positioning Ozuna as one of the most popular emerging artists. Under his direction and management, Ozuna has become a new idol in Latin music scene. Not only his 2017 album Odisea reigns at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums for more than 35 consecutive weeks, but he also holds the record with the most songs (12) charting at the same time on Hot Latin Songs. Ozuna was one of the most nominated artists on Billboard Latin Music Awards 2018 with a total of 10 nominations, winning Artist of the Year. He is also nominated in three categories at the Billboard Music Awards 2018, including: Top Latin Artist, Top Latin Album and Top Latin Song.
Saavedra was recognized in 2017 as one of Billboard Magazine’s 40 Under 40: Music’s Top Young Power Players. His independent record label, Dimelo Vi, was nominated for Hot Latin Songs Label of the Year at the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2018, competing with multi-national record label companies. He was a guest panelist at the Latin Billboard Conference’s “New Star Makers” panel, which took place on April 24, 2018 at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
Nowadays, Saavedra works on consulting and managing new talents. In 2020 he releases two new projects under Dimelo Vi LLC. Venezuelan pop-urban singer songwriter, Zhamira and puertorican urban singer songwriter Yovng Iverson.
